UCW on Campus: What CC Students Should Know (and How to Use It)

UCW on Campus: What CC Students Should Know (and How to Use It)

University Canada West (UCW) regularly visits 51本色 with an on-campus info booth so you can get quick answers about moving from a CC diploma to a UCW degree. These drop-ins are short, casual, and useful between classes. For example, the next on-campus booth is scheduled for August 27, 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m., on the 2nd floor.

Why it matters

If your plan in Canada includes more study → better work options, UCW is a practical next step. Our partnership helps you move faster and smarter:

  • Transfer credit advantage:
Finish Business Management & Co-op (BMD) and you can transfer up to 48 credits toward UCW’s Bachelor of Commerce.
Finish Business Fundamentals (BFD) and you can transfer up to 45 credits toward the same degree.
Translation: you don’t start from zero, and your degree timeline can shrink.

  • English pathway (no extra test for eligible grads):
Graduates of CCEL’s University Pathway meet UCW’s English requirement for both undergraduate and graduate admission—so no additional IELTS/TOEFL for those graduates.

  • Tuition support to ask about:
If you’ve been in Canada one year or more, ask UCW about domestic-fee options for eligible international students. For many, that’s a meaningful cost break (eligibility and terms apply).

How to use the booth (in 5 minutes)

Walk up with three questions:

  1. How many of my CC credits will transfer?

  2. Which intake fits my timeline?

  3. Do I qualify for any tuition grants or domestic-fee options?

Jot answers, grab a brochure, and you’re done.

Missed the booth?

No problem. Visit a Student Success Advisor in the office on the 4th floor, or email us and we’ll help map your study plan, documents, and deadlines.

Bottom line

UCW’s regular campus visits are a quick way to turn your current CC progress into a clear degree pathway - credit transfer, streamlined English requirements for eligible grads, and potential tuition relief if you’ve been in Canada a year or more. Whether you catch the next booth (e.g., Aug 27) or drop by the 4th-floor office, take the next step while it’s fresh.
